The Library is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The mission of HTC Library is to serve the university’s uniquely diverse community of students and faculty. In order to meet the informational needs of the university community, the library will build and maintain an appropriate offline and online collection that effectively supports the curriculum and will actively assist users in utilizing the full extent of library resources.
Borrowing privileges are limited to HTC students, faculty, and staff. A valid HTC identification card must be shown in order to check out materials. Books can be checked out for a period of two weeks. Books can be renewed once.
Failure to return an overdue item will result in the suspension of borrowing privileges for the student until the book is returned.
If an item is overdue for more than thirty days, it will be considered lost.
If an item is lost or damaged, the student will be charged for the price of the item.
Fifteen wireless computers are available in the Library and adjoining Room 143. These are for student use to do assignments and research, and limited to 90 minutes if other patron are waiting. The librarian will also set up with wireless Internet access those students that would like to use their own personal computers.
Library has a printer/copier available for school applications. This can be accessed from the library computers or a jump drive. (Students must use a personal debit or credit card to print or copy documents).
- A gift of books or other materials are accepted as another way to strengthen the library collection.
- These materials must be in good condition and support the curriculum at HTC.
- All gifts of library materials become property of the library. Any materials not added to the collection will be sold or donated. The librarian will determine whether the gift will be retained.
